LEGISLATIVE SESSION
OUR 2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION Report Card FOR LGBTQIA2S+ SUPPORT
GLSEN Arizona graded five bills we’ve asked you to take action on from the 2024 Legislative Session for the Report Card: SCR 1013, SB 1182, SB 1511, SB 1628, and HB 2310.
These five bills represent a spectrum of threats leveled against the LGBTQIA2S+ Arizonans, especially toward youth and educators. This report card reflects the votes of all ninety legislators compared to the actions we asked you to take to defeat these proposals. Even with a traditional ten-point grading scale, more than half of the Legislature scored an ‘F’ grade, opting to vote not to support LGBTQIA2S+ Arizonans.
Our work is not finished and our journey toward freedom marches on. GLSEN Arizona is committed to advocating for inclusive policies, affirming ordinances, and advancing justice for everyone!
