Our Work
GLSEN Arizona believes that every student has the right to a safe, supportive, and LGBTQ-inclusive K-12 education. We are a local chapter of a national network of educators and students working to make this right a reality.
Our research and experience has shown that there are four major ways that schools can cultivate a safe and supportive environment for all students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression:
Student GSAs, Supportive Educators, Comprehensive Policies, and Inclusive Curriculum.

For over 20 years GLSEN Arizona has worked to train, organize and empower school communities by providing support to student leaders and GSA clubs, supporting and training educators, providing free inclusive curriculum and library resources and advocating for inclusive policies.
